Germaine de Capuccini launches product range for spa guests undergoing cancer treatments

Product house Germaine de Capuccini has created a dedicated menu of facials and body therapies for those undergoing chemical treatments and radiation.

Designed to help restore and soothe the mind, body and soul, the carefully selected products target skin-related side effects caused by chemotherapy, radiation treatments and other strong medication.

Germaine de Capuccini-trained therapists must have a level three qualification to undertake the additional training required to offer the treatments.

“Massage is known to have an extremely positive effect on the mind and body during periods of stress,” a spokesperson for Germaine de Capuccini said.

“And clients find that the gentle touch therapy provided helps to restore an emotional equilibrium.”

The treatments include the use of the holistic obsidiana stones, which are provided as part of the course training.

A set of black obsidian stones are used warm, while another variety – white onyx stones – are used ice cool. Both are used simultaneously and have the effect of restoring a deep sense of calm together with a release of negative emotions.

The new treatments include:

Rose & Honey Harmony Facial, designed to soothes stressed and sensitive skin, restoring a deeply nourishing level of hydration

Aloe & Mint Cooling Body Therapy, a treatment combining a wrap and light massage.

Phytocare Baobab Body Ritual, incorporating a gentle exfoliation, massage and scalp therapy.

Calming Hand, Foot & Scalp Therapy and intensively nourishing therapy, designed for those suffering with peripheral neuropathy.
